Annual Fundraiser

2020 Fundraiser

This year’s fundraiser will be on Sunday, March 1, 2020.

We’re really excited about the event this year, as it marks a little bit of a departure from our normal program. We’ll still have wonderful music and dance performances from students and local groups, and we’ll still have amazing dessert items from local Flagstaff businesses.

But this year, even more students from Flagstaff are getting involved, in a lot of different ways!

This year, we are creating a global market that focuses on the ten countries where our girls live. Community artists and students and their teachers have been reading about our girls, and the countries they live in, and creating art of all kinds—pottery, paintings, cloth products, photography, mobiles, jewelry, furniture—that is informed by that country and that girl.

In addition, we’ll have items from those actual countries for sale. We’re making the whole thing like a big marketplace, and the performances will happen right in the middle of it all! Tacos los Altos will be providing yummy snacks, and we’ll have drumming and dancing and singing and music all around the room. There will be face painting and temporary tattoos, and chances for kids of all ages to get involved.

Items will sell for a variety of prices, from as little as $1 on up. There will be no bidding this year; you can pay for your item(s) and take them immediately!

Schools that are involved this year

Coconino High School, Flagstaff Arts and Leadership Academy, Flagstaff Junior Academy, Mountain School, and Sinagua Middle School.

The event will be at the Flagstaff Elks Lodge at 2101 N. San Francisco Street.
Doors open at 1:30 PM and the event begins at 2 PM.
Entry is $5 at the door.

Come by if you are in the area and help support girls’ education with some fun purchases!

Please keep checking back here.
We will update this page as more events and participants take shape!
