You Should Have Been There!

Mar 5, 2017 | Organization

On Sunday, February 26, we held our annual fundraiser, Dance Party for ONE and All/Chairs For Change at the Coconino Center for the Arts in Flagstaff. I will let the pictures do all the talking, but we had a blast, and it was our most successful fundraiser to date. We raised more than $5,000 for our girls!

Our deepest gratitude to all the businesses who donated food, drinks, and gift cards; to the artists from town and local schools who made extraordinary art pieces (90 of them!) out of re-purposed furniture; to the dancers and musicians who entertained and amazed us, and to everyone who came to share a great afternoon for a terrific cause. Our special thanks to board member Janeece Henes. Janeece is the beating heart of this fundraiser. Until she came along, we were happy to make $1,000. She inspires her students and so many more to be involved, to make chairs, and perform, to help at the door, or with setting up, and with cleaning up. Janeece is the living embodiment of service, and we are so grateful that she is a part of our board and of our community.
