Michel sent us a photo of her with her highest performing students who were participating in the annual Independence Day parade as cumplidores for “excelencia academica.” She said that she teaches 30 students and these are some of her best. They call her “Profe Michel,” which we love. She looks like such a teacher in this photo! We just love it, and we’re so happy she is enjoying her work and her students. They are lucky to have her and we couldn’t be prouder of how hard she has worked to get here.

We just wanted you all to see this photo, because it was your donations over the years that helped Michel achieve this. Yes, she did the work, and overcame many obstacles. But without your help, it simply would not have been possible. We love the collaborative nature of this work, which reminds us that little happens without everyone being involved.
