It’s that time again! In collaboration with the Flagstaff Freethinkers and the Flagstaff Latin Dance Collective, we are proud to announce plans for the Second Annual Family Dance Party and Fundraiser! For anyone who came last year, you remember what a fun time it was: great pop music to dance to, Latin dance lessons with the lovely Kati, and killer African drumming with Baba Shibambo and Friends. This year we’ll have all that and more!

Date: Sunday, October 13, 2013
Time: 4 PM to whenever we want to stop dancing!
Location: Tranzend—417 West Santa Fe Avenue, Flagstaff.
Special guests (this is just what we have now!): the Flagstaff Latin Dance Collective will have demonstrations and lessons. Baba Shibambo and Friends will come up from Sedona to rock the house and teach some drumming and African dancing.
Cost: $10 per family suggested donation. This will include a meal and non-alcoholic beverage from Cafe Ole.
There’s More: There will be a dessert bar for sale with goodies donated from Sugar Mama’s and local bakers. We will have a raffle with great prizes for kids, adults and the whole family.

We will also have information about the scholarship program and all of our students, brochures for you to grab and pass out to your friends, and some craft items from the countries we work with for sale. All proceeds from the event will go to pay for our wonderful girls to stay in school.

We’ll post more information as we get closer, and the schedule firms up. This is a true community effort, so please mark your calendars and plan on joining us on Sunday, October 13 at Tranzend at 4 PM. Bring the whole family!
