Welcome, Achecaina!

Apr 12, 2017 | Students

We received the year end grade cards from Nepal, and all three of our girls have done very well! Roshani is improving, and Bharosha and Amrita are near the top of their classes. All of them have been promoted to their next year, so we are very proud—congratulations to all of them!

Our big news for April is that we have accepted a young lady from Haiti for a new scholarship. Her name is Achecaina, and she is 6 years old and in first grade. Her family home was devastated by Hurricane Matthew, so her older sister took her to live with her in Port au Prince. She is doing well in school, and now that they have a scholarship for her, they can pay off the loan they made with the school to enroll her.

Please read more about Achecaina on her new page, but for now, here’s a picture. She’s pretty darned cute, and her grades are really high. She’s a very serious student, and we can’t wait to see where she goes in life. Welcome, Achecaina!
