Hello everyone, we are so happy to announce that we have accepted a new student to our program! Raquel Vallejo Martinez, from El Sauce, Nicaragua, is 12 years old. She will be entering secondary school at the beginning of February. She is well known to our contact Ashley and from the sound of it, is simply a wonderful young lady: dedicated to her studies, humble, funny, and very sweet. She originally received a scholarship from the Ciudad Hermana (Sister City) program, but that scholarship ended after 6th grade. Her family is in great need, yet her mother pushes her children to study and stay in school because she recognizes the value of it.
