Happy New Year, everyone! We received a wonderful New Year's present: news about all the girls in Tanzania. And it's such happy news! The National Exam results just came out. Greg and Shannon got news from the Jenis and Winnie about their scores, and all of them did...
Meghan and Christa just returned from a wonderful, whirlwind trip to Nicaragua, where we attended the high school graduation of Michel, ONE’s third graduate! Michel has been with ONE for five years, all of her high school career, and she was simply glowing throughout the day. We are so proud of her, and even prouder because she has every intention of continuing on to college to become a teacher. She wants to attend Saturday classes in Esteli, a town about 1.5 hours away from El Sauce. We are simply over the moon about her plans and will work to help her as much as possible.
Happy Holidays, everyone! Please don’t forget ONE this Giving Tuesday. Whatever you are capable of donating to help our girls finish high school and move on into their lives is welcome and appreciated. And even the smallest amount helps!

We enter our seventh year with high hopes for our girls, that they will be able to continue in school and realize their dreams. For many, they don’t yet know what their dreams are, but our hope is that their education will help them understand what they are capable of, and how powerful, important, and truly beautiful they are.
Thank you so much for your past support. We are closing in on the end of our seventh year, we currently support 28 students, and we are more grateful than ever for those of you who want to help girls around the world get an education, whether it’s through ONE or through another organization.
Once again, the ridiculously talented students from the National Honor Society at Flagstaff Arts and Leadership Academy put on a super fun event to raise funds for Naomi in Uganda, and also for the FALA trip to Nicaragua to meet our girls, build a house, and do art projects with local students.
On Sunday, February 26, we held our annual fundraiser, Dance Party for ONE and All/Chairs For Change at the Coconino Center for the Arts in Flagstaff. I will let the pictures do all the talking, but we had a blast, and it was our most successful fundraiser to date. We raised more than $5,000 for our girls!
